I randomly checked out a Kpop group called LPG and now I can’t stop wondering why nobody talks about them

I was going down a YouTube rabbit hole looking for forgotten Kpop songs and stumbled across a group called LPG (Long Pretty Girls). I expected a typical 2000s/early-2010s girl group and honestly clicked just out of curiosity. But what surprised me was how different the vibe felt compared to most groups people recommend today.

  • The songs have this strangely addictive mix of trot, dance, and retro pop. Some of the songs are unexpectedly catchy even if you don’t usually listen to trot
  • The stage outfits and concepts feel very “classic Korean entertainment” rather than modern idol-style

Listening to them feels like discovering a part of -pop history that got completely overshadowed by bigger groups
