Gositel or something else?

Hi!

So I’m going to Seoul from around early August to around end of December as an exchange student to Korea University. Since the campus accommodation options are very limited for exchange students, I was looking for alternatives. KU’s website recommends gositel/gosiwon, so I looked at a lot of them, and on first glance they seem fine to me. They are absolutely ttiny, but as long as I have a bed and my own private bathroom I’m fine, expecially when they’re so cheap.
But of course I wanted to get some real life experiences, and while those I found where mixed, I also found just a lot of general recommendations to avoid gositels.
So which affordable alternatives are there right now? I found a few links in older posts on reddit, but they’re all dead already. I can pay up to about 600,000 ₩, maaaaaaybe 700,000, so I don’t think I have any other choice, but would be happy about any tips and recommendations. If it has to be a gositel, are there any good/better ones close to KU?

Thank you all very much in advance, and wherever I will stay, I am really excited to be there soon!
