Giants’ Lee Jung-hoo belts 2nd homer, logs 3-hit game

Lee Jung-hoo of the San Francisco Giants put together his third three-hit game of the season, including his second home run, but his team fell short against the Miami Marlins. Batting sixth and starting in right field, the South Korean player went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and one RBI in the Giants’ 9-4 loss at Oracle Park in San Francisco on Friday (local time). Lee’s homer came in the bottom of the eighth inning, as he sent a pitch over the right-field wall for his second long ball of the season. It was his first home run in 14 days since the last one against the Baltimore Orioles on April 11. The 27-year-old also collected a single in the second inning and another one in the sixth, recording three hits in a game for the third time this year. His season batting average rose to .275. Despite Lee’s effort, the Giants were unable to recover from early damage and dropped the game.
