I remember this account who posted that clip farmed rescene incident was a regular in the Western pop culture subreddit was a frequent poster of negative Kpop stuff and I also noticed that these account always delete themselves or get suspended after a while, do you think there’s an effort to astroturf or turn people away from asian media? The comments are also always stuff like how Kpop doesn’t need to exist and how Korea’s entertainment system is terrible all the while they avidly follow western entertainment people and support people who have done worse or are friends with people in right wing movements or gave platforms to such people but when that stuff happens it’s the individual and the systems behind how society functions but no one ever says stuff like how people talk about Asian entertainment. People also love talking about the handful of suicides which I agree is bad but westerners are literally dropping because of drug use to cope like Hayden Panettiere and Liam Payne.
