The response to Kim Soo-hyun’s controversy is very interesting to me

Kim Soohyun was accused of dating Saeron who tragically passed away last year as a minor. However, recently, he was cleared of all charges and a youtuber who used AI to fabricate their “relationship” as a minor was arrested. The public response is really interesting and frustrating to me.
The first thing I see is the corruption accusations. There’s a very weird double standard though i’ve noticed when it comes to police. If it’s something that directly incriminates someone, people seem to have full faith in the police. However, if it’s something that clears someone of all charges, then the corruption accusations start going around. Not to say that corruption doesn’t happen, i’m sure it does. I don’t know if there was corruption or not in this case, in fact, nobody knows. I just don’t like that people immediately jump to the conclusion of corruption and dismiss everything else. Absolutely yes, question it. But don’t dismiss everything else based on the questioning.
Another thing is the amount of false information going around. A lot of people are claiming that Kim Soo-hyun knew Saeron as a 10 year old or older as a minor. When asked for proof, they either reference a comment posted by another user, or can’t provide any information at all. Based on the what I’ve found, I was unable to find any proof supporting that conclusion. The only thing I was able to find is that their relationship began when she joined his agency at the age of 19, and they began to date when she was 19. Now, morally speaking, is that weird? Sure. But that doesn’t automatically make him a pedophile. And yes, he did state at some point that he’d want to get married at 41 to a 21 year old. Again, yes, that’s really weird, but no it does not automatically make him a pedo who doomed her.
Now regarding the financial aspect. I’ve seen many people claiming that he contributed to her death by financially dooming her and cutting her off when she needed help. However, his company has denied this, and has stated that he literally was not aware of this. Mind you, a good majority of these claims are either rumors or proven by forensic evidence to be AI, and the person who created all of this has been arrested. But it’s very frustrating when people bring it up in every argument without also adding in the denial. Another one i’ve seen is that someone else offered to pay her debts but Soohyun refused. How does that even make any sense first of all? Legally, I don’t think he even had any say in her finances, much less refuse to let someone pay them.
Now with the shirtless picture of him in Saeron’s apartment. That was when they both were legally consenting which has been proven. It’s very frustrating when people take that and twist that to their narrative. The paparazzi picture in 2017 has been debunked. The company has very firmly stated that it was not him, and the court found that to be true. I don’t exactly remember the link for this one but it shouldn’t be too hard to find.
And finally, the person who sent out all of this was arrested for it all being AI.
My overall thing is the amount of speculation and misinformation going on. Absolutely yes, question things, but it’s not right to immediately jump to conclusions. I have my own doubts, but again, those are literally just doubts. We really only know what they release to the public. I’m not telling you to support him, I don’t know if I will be because of his morality, but also it’s just very irritating to see all the misinformation going around on social media.
