So there’s been a growing discourse online about Korean Cortis stans getting upset (upset would be an understatement) over Keonho and Wonhee interacting with each other. The main incidents people keep bringing up are when Cortis got a music show win and Keonho locked eyes with Wonhee while celebrating on stage. Wonhee matched his energy and congratulated him by dancing along while exiting the stage. Another clip people keep circulating is Keonho recently referencing Wonhee’s viral moment where she talked about losing her cheek fat during her livestream. Then there’s also a moment from when both Cortis and Illit were invited to the Blue House to perform for the Olympic athletes a few months ago, where the two were caught making eye contact in a photo.
k-COERs have been going absolutely insane over these interactions, and the fact that grown women are this obsessed with a 17 year old boy engaging in non-romantic interactions with a senior from the same label is just disturbing. It all stems from pure jealousy, and the intensity with which these adult fans react to it is nothing but concerning. And this parasocial behavior isn’t even new. Last year, shortly after Cortis debuted, these grown adults were caught secretly filming the teenage members while they were changing clothes. These people are completely predatory.
I can already tell this fandom is going to have one of the worst reactions imaginable if any of the members ever get dragged into a dating rumor in the future. Completely unhinged behavior.
