Never thought Cube was wrong for the situation with Dawn and Hyuna

So I couldn’t say it at the time because there was an overwhelming sentiment that Cube was evil for kicking them out.

Mind you, I don’t think Cube is a great company by any means. However, Dawn and Hyuna really set themselves up.

I mean at what place of business can you openly defy your company and not get fired?

I think people looked at the situation wrong and it became about dating in Kpop(or the lack of it). Fans villianized Cube for not supporting their idols dating but that was not the case. (And anyway it wasn’t like them taking a stand had any effect on idols dating. It did nothing for the industry when it comes to dating openly and probably hurt it but that’s a different discussion)

They discussed with Hyuna and Dawn, made a public statement they weren’t together and then due to rumors spreading about Hyuna that she didn’t like, she makes a public statement directly contradicting her company and takes matters into her own hands. Adding to the fact, that Dawn was a rookie and pretty important to his group. Why would any company want that relationship to be public? It would be career suicide for Pentagon and in a lot of ways it was.

All of these reasons are valid reasons for termination.

CUBE WAS WRONG FOR…putting them in a group together in Pentagon’s rookie years. If they weren’t in that group together they could have probably lasted a few more years with no one knowing.

I thought at the time it was terrible for Dawn’s career and I still do. Pentagon also never fully recovered.

Truly a mess all around!
