I haven’t watched Dream Academy yet, but since when KATSEYE debuted, I’m already invested in them as a whole 6-member global gg. I love the girls equally and interchangeably changing bias often, but knowing Manon would more likely leave the group based on what we’ve seen, despite HYBE hasn’t made an official announcement yet, I think this could damage the group in a very negative way.
Look, I’m not a Manon solo stan here, I just wanna say if a member leaves their group, it feels they’re now incomplete and hard to see them as we’re very much used to seeing them as a complete group. This also happens when Jinni leaves NMIXX, and I was like affected for a week or two even though I have a life and shouldn’t care about them.
If Manon officially leaves KATSEYE for good, they really need to step up their game and make better music this time to at least compensate for one member’s absence, even if it’s gonna feel still incomplete throughout their whole career. Even better, they shouldn’t have debuted Manon in the first place because I think one of those other girls who almost debuted into the group deserves to be in KATSEYE and people wouldn’t have to invest themselves thinking they’re gonna be OT6 until the end of their career.
I really just don’t know what just happened after Gabriela era, they went downhill immediately imo.
And look, let’s say any other member leaves the group aside from Manon, I would have said the same thing. More importantly, they really need to fix their music.
