Have you ever went to a K-pop server and it’s always bad vibes? Does it seem like every where you go, people are always arguing, debating, or seemingly a clique is happening and you’re not allowed to join their little group unless you’re able to keep up with their unique social cues.
Be honest, have you ever felt out of place in these K-pop spaces no matter how much you try? Well you’re not alone.
K-pop has changed over the years, and it’s no longer this fun, niche, foreign internet hobby where people come together and find friends easily. Nowadays, people care more about convenience and themselves rather than other fans and their hyper fixations that causes people to create amazing art, fun activities and the idea of having a K-pop friend fun!
This is why I am creating a discord server where the rules are no bad vibes. Nobody is allowed to start or continue fan wars, no whataboutmeisms, no AI in any form whatsoever (that includes chatbots, photos, videos, voices, deepfakes, etc) and most of all, no usage of the word “parasocialism” as I am aware 98% of users use it incorrectly in a misogynistic and mocking away.
I.e: Instead of saying “I don’t want to talk to San at send off because I don’t want to be too parasocial”, say “I don’t want to talk to San at send off because I don’t want to look like a fool and say something inappropriate to him like chocolate or vanilla” which allows you to convey your message better and be aware of the words you’re using to words that don’t make sense at certain situations.
By banning the usage and talks of AI, this will allow others to go to other users for advice on writing, drawing, references, editing, dancing, choreographing, making animations, producing music, photography at concerts, making games and even maybe allow for irl meetups at concerts, cupsleeve events or even allow others find their best friends and partners.
People will start to be more intentional when entering this space, knowing that they’ll need to be a decent human being with a fun personality to be able to connect with others, and for them to include everyone in that space. As soon as someone comes online, that’s someone they can talk to!
Of course, this space will be open to fanfiction writing, fanart, fan edits, animation making, voice actors, roleplayers, choreographers, game developers, music producers, and so much more, including gaming with friends, voice chats, video chats, and some game bots that will only be available to play with every Friday only!
If this discord idea sounds interesting to you, please let me know in the comments before!
I will be making a tester K-pop discord server for everyone to try out! It will be 18+ at first but once it does really well, I’ll make another server that will include under 18s with the same formula!
Anywho, see ya!
