Korean university ranking based on education level provided – asking for GKS Graduate program application

Hi everyone! I’m planning to apply for the GKS (Global Korea Scholarship) Graduate program for the year 2027 (I will graduate in the academic year 2025/26 in June), and I’m trying to gather as much information as possible about the universities I could apply to. Additionally, I am going to apply for an internship at my country’s embassy in Seoul later this month, and I want to mention my plan to apply for the GKS Graduate program, possibly even specific university, in my motivation letter.

There is no information about the year 2027 yet, but there is a website for the year 2025, and these are the universities I found that offer graduate majors I’m interested in (master – I’m too old (25) to apply for bachelor):

Political Science (preferably International Relations and/or Diplomacy)
Dankook University, Dongguk University, Hanyang University, Chung-Ang University, INHA University, Konkuk University, Kookmim University, Korea University, KyungHee University, Sogang University, Sookmyung Women’s University, Soongsil University, The Graduate School of Korean Studies, AKS, University of Seoul, Yonsei University (Wonju campus), Sungshin Women’s University, Daegu Catholic University, Gangneung-Wonju National University, Hannam University, Changwon National University, Chonnam National University, Chungbuk National University, Chungnam National University, Jeju National University, Kangwon National University, Kyungpook National University, Pusan National University, Seoul National University, Sun Moon University, University of Ulsan

I wanted to ask whether there is any major-specific ranking of Korean universities, possibly even internal Korean ranking, based on education level. I’m talking about the quality of education rather than prestige. The reason I’m mentioning this is that I was on a study exchange in (2024/25, 2 semesters) at Yonsei University in Wonju. Although Yonsei University is highly ranked, I could see discrepancies when it came to the quality of education I received compared to the quality I expected (based on the ranking and prestige). For info, the only major I could really take courses from was EIC (East asian international college).

I’m hoping to work for our embassy in Korea in the future once some spots open up, and I believe that studying the major both at home and in Korea would help me achieve this goal.
