what would y’all consider to be “elitist” kpop albums

a small thought i had as i’m exploring dreamcatcher’s discography, i’m still new to kpop as a whole after being a long term listener of a few specific groups and this is something i couldn’t find a ton of conversation about online.

for people who are deeply familiar with kpop as a whole, what albums would you consider truly elite and the peak of the genre? not necessarily popular, not widely loved due to nostalgia, not classics(although they can be any of these things or all 3), but albums that in terms of pure musicality could easily hold their own in any critical music conversation regardless of genre.

since i’m a casual noob and don’t have much to go on please forgive my basic picks but i would definitely consider “love yourself: tear” and “pink tape” to be some of these types of albums. if anyone agrees or disagrees please feel free to give your thoughts! i’m very interested in the more musical side of kpop as a huge music fan who is very interested in learning more about it! no toxicity pls
