What’s with the sudden surge of Western movie elements in K-Pop music videos?

About a week ago, Epik High and Davichi released ‘Mise-en-Scène,’ which parodies several popular Western movies with breakup themes, such as 500 Days of Summer, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, In the Mood for Love (this one is Asian tho) and La La Land. It makes sense to me because the title of the song is ‘Mise-en-Scène.’

But these days, if you look at the latest music videos being released, you can see that Crush and IU are also using La La Land as inspiration for Seesaw, and Woodz is using Beetlejuice for Come into My World.

Furthermore, Lisa’s upcoming music video isn’t just inspired by a movie; she is using Tarantino—a famous Western movie director—as the song title. What’s with the sudden surge of Western movie elements in K-Pop? Do you have any thoughts about this pattern?
