The hate he’s received feels unnecessary. From what he’s shared publicly, he left to pursue more creative freedom and have greater involvement in the music he makes.
During survival show iland he mention about wanting to release an album where he write and produced himself. It seems like he waited years for the opportunity to pursue that dream, but Enhypen was an incredibly busy group with constant schedules and tours, and unfortunately, it never happened.
I know the situation isn’t the same, but he reminds me of beautiful , Sulli . She left FX in 2015 to focus on acting while still remaining under SM entertainment .She always want to be an actress. After se left the group, she was criticized for almost everything from her appearance and fashion to her gestures and personal choices. While their situations are different, it reminds me how easily people forget that idols are human.
I recently watched one of Heeseung radio interviews where he shared that he was really depressed before his solo debut, and that “Overflow” is one of the songs he wrote during that period.
This is only the beginning of his solo career. Only 1st week of promtion and he was criticised everywhere. He doesn’t need endless judgment, he needs time and space to grow and regain his confidence. At the end of the day, he just wants to make music.
If he ever needs support for his mental well-being, I hope he has people around him who will be there for him.
Everyone deserves the chance to pursue their dreams without being judge and hated.
