i think i-dle absolutely delivered at their lollapalooza stage performance, especially with it being their first ever major festival appearance in the west. energy was booming, production was very high quality, live vocals were some of the best i’ve seen, interacted well with the crowd, solid setlist with energetic songs they managed to keep up the tempo for & complete in the time frame given.
what i’m surprised at is the reaction in spite of all that. even official accounts on both the kpop affiliated and lollapalooza side have gone without even acknowledging their participation in the event on their platforms while highlighting all other fellow kpop acts that made an appearance.
and the general fan-side side have been negative almost with effort. ive seen snide remarks about the size and hype of the crowd, complaints abt the songs they chose to perform and especially tearing into shuhua who I thought did exceptionally well.
i don’t keep up with the daily politics of kpop general opinions so can anyone help understand if i missed something and why i-dle is being treated like a cancelled group? every group experiences their highs & lows but the ghosting from pop culture social media news sources is whats especially odd to me.
