I do NOT mean boring in the very common ‘you don’t like this song I like so I’m going to “clapback” by saying you just hate fun/it’s camp and you dont get it!!’ way that people loveeee to throw at you whenever you criticize or critique a song that you don’t like lol
music taste is subjective, so this isn’t me talking about people being boring for not liking the song – if it’s not your taste that’s fine, it doesn’t make it a terrible song.
but ive seen quite a few people complaining that this song should’ve been released around Halloween or that it’s not a good summer song (since obvs it’s summer in korea rn)
i can’t begin to express how incredibly boring you have to be to think that anything even REMOTELY “creepy” has to be restricted to halloween, or that every single song released in summer has to be a “summer song”
sure i aM biased because im a horror lover and i always love a good creepy vibe, but genuinely what a narrow-minded way to think
i LOVE the creepy vibe and sound ddi ro ri has in some aspects, and it’s a pity that some people are so strictly bound by unnecessary shackles that dictate that apparently anything remotely halloweeny can ONLY be released at that time….
plus, not the sound at aLL but the mv for iconic by mistake has various “creepy” elements, yet i havent seen ANYONE complaining that they should’ve released it during the halloween period….weird
i think we should all just appreciate the creepy, spooky stuff kpop has to offer because it’s usually fun and a bit different
