First off, I’m very sorry to all Engenes who are grieving right now. I know seeing a member leave a group is very hard to take in. I’ve been there many times.
However it seems to be confirmed by Heesung and the members themselves that this is again what Heesung wanted and everyone is respecting his decisions. There may be more behind the scenes that we don’t know. And may never know. I know his wording about “following the company’s direction” seemed vague and opened a lot of discourse about maybe him being offered an ultimatum or kicked out. I also had my own theories but again we never truly know. I apologize for speculating so much as well.
What I keep seeing is people comparing this situation to Mark and NCT Dream. People think that they can protest and bring Heesung back like what NCTzens did with Mark.
I ask to please be respectful and understand that these are two completely separate situations. Mark was forced to leave upon reaching the graduating age. All members were expected to as well.
NCT Dream was never meant to be together, they were supposed to be a rotational unit. The members and fans fought for the group’s survival and SM acknowledged that and allowed 7Dream to be together by brining Mark back.
I’m not minimizing Engenes’ feelings at all, but please don’t compare it is no way the same. It was a traumatic time for Mark and the Dreamies and the only reason they have reached this far is because of their bond and the members choice to truly stay together. They also go way back, have been training together since age 13-14. But as a fan of them who has to know that their future was never one guaranteed, I’m not okay with people comparing Heesung to Mark.
It is also not respectful to Heesung and Enhypen to be going against a decision that has already been made. I truly don’t think it is a light decision.
But again I hope everyone can do proper research and fact checking before projecting their feelings. I know it’s a tough time. But it doesn’t mean it’s okay to compare.
Just a friendly reminder that Enhypen was formed together on a survival show and NCT Dream fought for their survival together as they were formed with the intention of essentially breaking up the lineup to rotate them into other NCT units. It was never the same. I hope everyone can understand that and be respectful when having open discussions, thank you.
