One of My Favorite Things About I-DLE Is Their Message!

One of the reasons I became such a big fan of I-DLE is their lyrics.

I-DLE often write about self-confidence, individuality, rejecting stereotypes, and learning to accept yourself. As a woman, I find many of their songs empowering because they encourage listeners to be unapologetically themselves rather than trying to fit into society’s expectations.

Some of my favorite examples are:

1.”Nxde”:

“Why you think that ’bout nude? ‘Cause your view’s so rude”

“I’m born nude”

I love how this song challenges the way women are judged and objectified.

2.”TOMBOY”:

“It’s neither man nor woman”

“Just me, I-DLE”

To me, this song is about refusing to let other people define who you should be.

3.”Queencard”:

“My boob and booty’s hot”

“I’m a queencard, you wanna be the queencard”

A fun but surprisingly positive message about confidence and self-love.

4.”Allergy”:

The whole song perfectly captures the struggle of comparing yourself to others and learning to appreciate who you are.

5.”Oh My God”:

“Oh my god, she took me to the sky”

“Oh my god, she showed me all the stars”

I also appreciate how “Oh My God” can be interpreted in different ways. Many LGBTQ+ fans have found comfort and representation in the song, and I think it’s beautiful when music allows different people to see their own experiences reflected in it.

Whether you agree with every interpretation or not, I think (G)I-DLE’s music stands out because it encourages people to be themselves, question social expectations, and feel confident in who they are.

Does anyone else feel that (G)I-DLE’s lyrics are a big part of what makes them special?
