Hey guys, just wanted to share a quick recommendation for anyone who loves Korean chicken! If you like spicy food, you absolutely have to try Mapchelin (맵슐랭) from Jadam Chicken (자담치킨). It has this incredible flavor profile—it’s slightly sweet with a creamy, mayo-like base, but then the chopped Cheongyang chili peppers (Korean green chilis) kick in and give it the perfect spicy punch. It’s seriously addicting. They have two versions: Mapchelin Mild and the original Mapchelin. Personally, even the Mild version was plenty spicy for me, so it was perfect. I don’t think I could handle the original! Honestly, I’m craving it again just writing this… Their regular fried chicken is also super good and crispy. If you’re trying it for the first time, I highly recommend ordering a half-and-half with regular fried chicken and Mapchelin, just in case the flavor profile or the heat is a bit too much for you.
