how has babymonster surpassed bts in youtube

I’m looking at the recent YouTube stats and I’m honestly trying to understand how the algorithm or streaming dynamics work these days, because the math is surprising to me. BTS’s release has been out for 2 months and is sitting at 122M views. Obviously, ARMY is a massive global powerhouse when it comes to streaming support. But then I noticed BABYMONSTER’s “CHOOM” passed that 122M mark in just 2 weeks. I’m just scratching my head a bit here. How does a 5th-gen rookie group’s music video outpace a BTS release by that much time wise? Is YouTube filtering views differently for older accounts, or is BABYMONSTER pulling in an unprecedented amount of casual public viewers outside their core fandom? I’d love to know the technical or algorithmic reason behind this if anyone tracks chart data!
