Aespa ticket sales are also way less than last year

Obviously it’s still early but it was much harder to get tickets last year than for this tour.

I think it’s now clear without a shadow of a doubt that KPop is on a decline in the West.

The economic concerns definitely have an impact, but I think that alone can’t be the entire story. Mainstream artists still have crazy demand and 1 year really is not that long. Festivals also still have very high demand.

It seems like for groups to have a very well attended tour, they need to have had recent hype (like Aespa last year, or Twice with KPDH). Or just be too big to fail like BTS and BP.

But I think we’re regressing to the mean with the groups that are solidly popular. It’ll probably be more like pre COVID where arenas don’t get sold out.
