i havent been a shinee fan for long, i only started listening to them around late 2023-2024 but ive always noticed that every single time someone makes an edit of jonghyun such as praising his talent or a literal thirst trap – i always see comments only talking about his death and i kind of find it weird because the video is praising him and you’re just minimizing all of that and making it about his death?
i wasnt a shinee fan back when he passed away and although i may not have known much about him i understand the fans who knew him are most definitely grieving and i know many grieve in different ways but i feel like he is always downplayed of his talents because of his passing
jonghyun is an extremely talented, and in general seemed like such a genuine person but its just sad to see lots of fans not really acknowledging any of that and instead making it all about his passing.i feel like theres a certain time and place to greif – and commenting about his passing in the comment sections of thirst traps or of his talent etc is not it.
dont get me wrong i am very understanding of the fans who are grieving but i am just soo tired of people just mentioning his death all the time where it isnt approapriate – it just makes other people feel guilty and sad too. why cant we also focus on how talented he was and how incredible as both an idol and person he was?
!! please dont mistake me for being ignorant towards his death, that is not my intention!!
