Before even Baemon debuted in 2023, Chiquita, the maknae, already caught my attention, and she has been my bias ever since. The thing I didn’t expect to see from her was her rapid growth and improvement since early 2024, as if she acts, looks, and performs like an adult, but I was surprised that years have already passed and she ain’t 18 yet lmao. I think this is the first time I’ve seen a female idol who already starts wearing revealing fits and actually knows how to carry herself, complements it well with top-tier facial expressions and for sure she’s really enjoying what she’s doing tho ain’t turning 18 yet. Yall can see throughout their MVs and her tiktoks.
However, I also understand the risk of being sexualised, as said by some fans, so that’s something to watch out for, but then I remember one video of KATSEYE where Lara Raj mentions she started to wear bolder-style clothing when she was 16 or 15 (she also shows her photo from her phone of wearing like a dark blue revealing and bolder outfit). As long as they’re happy and genuine with what they’re doing with their fashion choice and how they perform despite not being in legal age yet, I think there is nothing to be worry about.
Honestly, if I were born as a female (as a gay fem guy myself), I would’ve done the same at the age of 15 lmao. Like wearing those fits because you can feel your best self, despite my fam and relatives being kinda conservative about it when my sister did that. I feel like growing up in an Asian household would make you feel like you’re required to wait until a certain age, which is 18 or sometimes 20/finished your degree, before young women are permitted to wear bolder style fits.
