I honestly feel really sad about the whole Nana lip filler situation.
If she liked the way her lips looked, why did we collectively decide that she needed to apologize for them? Women are constantly told that they’re too much, not enough, too natural, too fake, too thin, too full, too done, or not done enough. And now we’re at a point where a woman can make a completely personal choice about her own face and end up feeling like she has to publicly apologize for it?
I’m not saying everyone has to like lip filler. If you don’t like the look, that’s completely fine. But you don’t have to like it for the woman wearing it to be allowed to like it herself. If Nana loved her lips, I wish she had felt confident enough to keep them exactly how she wanted them.
And honestly, I think women should be allowed to get filler AND women should be allowed to dissolve it whenever these please. The important part is that the decision belongs to the woman and NOT the internet, NOT the fans, NOT beauty standards, and NOT strangers commenting on her face. So disgusting to see people bash women.
