HD Hyundai 1% Nanum Foundation seeks nominees for 4th HD Hyundai Honor Awards

The HD Hyundai 1% Nanum Foundation said Tuesday it has opened nominations for the fourth HD Hyundai Honor Awards, accepting applications through July 10 via its website at 1percent.or.kr. The awards, established in 2023 to recognize individuals and organizations devoted to helping marginalized and vulnerable members of society, carry a total prize pool of 300 million won ($200,000) this year. The foundation has consolidated the previous four-category structure into two awards: the HD Hyundai Honor Award, worth 200 million won, and the HD Hyundai 1% Nanum Award, worth 100 million won. Nominations may be submitted by heads or staff of local government agencies, educational institutions and social welfare organizations, on behalf of individuals or groups who have dedicated themselves to supporting socially disadvantaged people. Nominees will be screened through document review and field investigation before a final selection panel composed of outside experts and HD Hyundai employees.
