I think its a good idea that old gasoos are debuting new ones. My older brother has the 4Wol gwa 5Wol album at home. They have some really good songs and I think this new shinin gasoo willl benefit from the industry connections that lee soo man has
i just think it might be unfair to the shinins who don’t have any industry connection. Soon the only way to debut will be if a gasoo’s agency picks you up and likes you.
I would say right now it’s very balanced. There’s cases like Lee Ji Yun where an old gasoo found her and debuted her. Then there’s Lee Sang Eun who entered through the Kang byun ga yo je. Then there’s Yang soo kyung who went the old fashioned shinin mudae route.
I feel like it’s important that the singers are sourced from the general public. It’s good to be selected by a senior gasoo and then debuted but sometimes we want to see raw talent. That’s why I love the Ga yo jes. Everyone can get on them.
