Wondering if you all are down to play Chopped with me? 😂 Having a hard time deciding what to make to go with the banchan & ingredients in my fridge!!
Right now I have – maneuljjong muchim, – ojingeochae muchim, – homemade banana pepper kimchi, – and both sour & fresh cabbage kimchi (though just a little bit of the sour).
For ingredients, I have some chicken breast, salmon fillets, eggs, and both firm & soft tofu for proteins. I have dried & fresh mushrooms, green onions, and some goguma & mini mandu in the freezer. A few each of sliced & cylinder tteok. And all standard condiments & seasonings as well.
I’ve made soondubu jjigae, kimchi jjigae, doenjang jjigae, and dakgalbi very recently so I’d rule those out.
Basically with an abundance of options, I can’t make up my mind! What would you make? If all else fails I’ll definitely just go simple and make dubu jjorim or a tteokmanduguk but I’m curious to hear what others might make with what I’ve got handy!
