Kinda controversial, but the music from hybe groups have started to sound a bit boring, safe and repetitive. I myself stan a hybe group so I promise I am not a hybe anti, I just wish Hybe would take more risk for their groups’ music. I know hybe is capable of taking risk and when they take risk, the song ends up becoming a hit majority of times. They took a risk with Crazy and gnarly and they both are very big hits.
Like beautiful stranger by TXT was literally deja vu 2.0. When TXT took a risk with sugar rush ride, a song that even the member’s themselves didn’t like much, it ended up becoming their biggest hit and brought alot of new fans. But all their releases afterwards did not have that “IT” factor and sounded very generic which very frankly has caused the group to lose some fans. They were able to sell out their 2023 US tour but couldn’t do it now even though the net capacity is almost the same. Their two most recent title tracks didn’t even enter Global spotify chart. TXT was literally the top group of 4th gen mind you.
I have also not liked any of the Enhypen’s title tracks after Bite me. There is a reason bite me is getting more daily streams on spotify than bad desire.
Same with Le sserafim, Crazy and antifragile both are gaining more daily streams than HOT. Thats because both of these songs were new and brought something fresh to the table. HOT could have been something really great too but a song like this needed to be atleast 3 mins long to feel complete. It needed a bridge and more vocal harmonies. They did it in impurities so why couldn’t they do it in HOT?
