Family Registration question – ELI5

Hi All I’m not sure if this is even possible. I was born in Taegu (what I was told but not sure) on Dec 20th 1979 (once again never confirmed by birth certificate). I had a US Green Card until I got my citizenship when I was 21 serving in the US Air Force.

I don’t have any family to help me out but what I am looking for is my birth certificate and my families registration information.

I have my parents names, grandparents on fathers side, great-grandparents (I think) on fathers side (grandfather’s parents).

Is this enough to get the info I need? I don’t have my green card (taken when I got my citizenship) nor do I have any other family documents.

I am very americanized, can’t read or write korean, and speak at a very elementary level. But I am the last male with a male and would like to find info.

Thanks and hope this makes sense
