Samsung Electronics Co. ‘s Galaxy S24 Ultra was ranked as the best-performing smartphone in the US, surpassing Apple’s iPhone 16 Pro Max in a recent evaluation by Consumer Reports, a leading consumer magazine in the US.
According to the company on Wednesday, Consumer Reports awarded the Galaxy S24 Ultra and iPhone 15 Pro Max an overall score of 87 points. Apple’s iPhone 16 Pro Max, which launched in June, ranked third with 86 points.
The Galaxy S24 Ultra received a perfect score of five out of five in five of the 10 evaluation categories, including reliability, customer satisfaction, camera quality, display, and durability.
By contrast, the iPhone 16 Pro Max scored four points for ease of use and calling.
Industry observers noted that the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s AI features, such as real-time interpretation and Circle to Search, contributed to its top ranking.
In addition to its advanced AI, the Galaxy S24 Ultra boasts a brighter display, upgraded processor, improved camera, and longer battery life than its predecessor, the report said.
