Winter means Dae-bang-eo (Large Yellowtail) season in Korea! 🐟

In Korea, fatty Yellowtail (Bang-eo) is a classic winter delicacy.

We call the large ones ‘Dae-bang-eo’, which refers to those weighing over 10kg (22 lbs). They usually range from 10 to 15kg, and some huge ones even exceed 20kg!

Since they are so massive, buying just half of one was plenty for 10 people to enjoy fully.

My husband bought the fillets at the fish market and sliced them himself for our group trip. It was so fresh and delicious.
