What’s your favorite kind of Kpop content?

After going in a kpop rabbit hole the past few days (as someone who hasn’t really given a shit abt kpop for the past 3 years, I’m giving myself a refresher lol) I’ve come to notice that Kpop variety content tends to get repeated a lot from group to group. I’m talking abt typical contents kpop groups create to make their fans happy. For simplicity’s sake i won’t include content such as dance practice videos, livestreams or behind the scenes shoots of any music videos/photoshoots. Specifically, I’m talking about videos with certain gimmicks that are posted as content either on their channel or through a third-party variety show that is independent from their own company, such as:

• Idols being scared in horror houses • Mafia games • Halloween parties • Vlogs/Variety show about their vacation in a foreign country/somewhere around Korea • Amusement park videos • Pranking one of their members • Sports content (example: NCT Field Day!) • Taking care of babies • Spoofs/Parodies/Skits

And so much more I’m probably forgetting to mention lol. But I’m sure eveyone gets the gist of what I mean. A lot of these concepts have basically become a staple in Kpop group contents and I was curious to know if anyone had any particular favorites! For me personally, I love the “vacation in a foreign country” genre of content specifically because it has always amused me to watch kpop idols go to countries whose language they might not speak and stumble in trying to communicate, just bcs it makes for really amusing content sometimes. Ig u could say i love the fish out of water trope lol. Can you tell that my fave variety shows back in the day were SHINee One Fine Day, BTS American Hustle Life and all of the NCT Life Seasons that take place in non-Korean cities 😭? I also love the mafia game genre because it helps kpop idols come out of their shell, especially when they are rookies. Their personalities start to bleed through when they start taking mafia REAL serious lmao and i love it. anw, feel free to comment down below on ur favorites!
