Since u/AskAKorean won’t let me, I will ask it here. Why is misogyny so strong in Korea, enough to shame a genuine victim?

This post was made about 20 days ago on the same forum (under flair crime). The comments and judgments she got was par from calling it humane at this point.

I’m not asking u to give some shit rightful opinions on this but tell me what u would think if u were the victim here. Genuinely would u be commenting stuff like this too? Portraying k-men as ideal, gentlemen, genuinely, loving, caring & RESPECTFUL? I pity the foreign teenagers who think all k-men are like this. This isn’t the first time. Chat rooms, R-cases, Political remarks, even the law, “general” public perspective, dating based on “body” and “features” and n number more things. Apart from this there is racism, sexism, colourism and what not. As a k-woman how do you feel living in a place like that? Infact the clause of STATUE OF LIMITATIONS was removed not long ago.

I don’t mean to demean or degrade the country as in, but this is truly enraging.

I want to know that as Korean nationals what u think. As general public of Korea what do u think? (I apologise if i have overruled any if the community guidelines. I am new here)
