Sheesh, I’ve heard there were people complaining about this, but the fact that this even got into the NYT article is ridiculous. I also hate that NYT described this thing as gender divide. If the genders were reversed, they would have just laid out the sexism going on in the country. The article also makes Korea seem like it’s in the 1940s, with saying that there is a belief that Korean women should be subordinate to men. Oh never mind, the article even still mentions the sexism in the country despite this topic.
