Second Generation Overseas Korean Citizen

I’m a Korean-born Canadian, who, after a mountain of paperwork, was approved to become a Second Generation Overseas Korean Citizen (SGOKC). And I am utterly grateful for this, because I got to see my halbi one final time before he passes, as his health has been poor, and I at least got to spend time with him. However, there is a question nagging at my mind about my family.

My mother is Korean-born and took Canadian citizenship a long time ago, thereby revoking her Korean citizenship. However, she seems to think the travel time restrictions present in my SGOKC status also apply to her and that she cannot return without putting my status in jeopardy. Is this true at all? I also ask this to shine light for other SGOKC who may be in the same situation, although my family situation is, to put it simply, a little unbalanced.

Sorry for the odd flair. I don’t visit this sub often, and I’m not sure which I should put it beneath.
