I came across a post on tarantino by lisa and one particular comment that struck me. ‘She have all the resources to make good music but isn’t doing it. Her personal taste in music is hindering her abilities’. Like what bro? Since when making your own music equates to catering YOUR personal taste than making music the ARTISTS LIKE. I am not into pop scene so i don’t know if it is a common mindset that people have that, you are free to make your own music but under OUR rules. Also heard that D.O’s solo music is seen underwelming and people need more from him. Like, not liking his songs is one thing but wanting him to change the music direction he likes just for the sake of fans is crazy. Where is the originality in that, where is the personal output kpop stans preach in that? I remember coming across a post on yunjin’s(lsrfm) solo a while back stating somewhat the same thing. She needs to let their production team intervene more in her music apparently, because her lyrics are not reaching. And if these same stans see ten’s of lyricist crediting will go feral, call the artist names, unauthentic, inoriginal, whatever words people like to throw for no reason.
So in brief, fans doesn’t want you make music unless you make good music in their own records. Fans also don’t want you work with other people in the industry because it is imitation of someone else’s work and no hard work. The hypocrisy!
Edit – Before someone jump me and say lisa doesn’t make her own music, i know other people are involved, doesn’t negate the fact she’s making music she likes.
