Naver Webtoon’s Stagtown to be cinematized by Hollywood

South Korea’s Naver Webtoon said on Thursday its horror series Stagtown, popular in the US, will be made into a movie by Hollywood.

Stagtown was discovered at Canvas, Naver Webtoon’s global amateur creator platform. Since its official serialization in 2021, this webtoon gained popularity in North America, surpassing 18 million views.

Wattpad Webtoon, a studio under Naver Webtoon, and LuckyChap Entertainment, a production company will cooperate to cinematize Stagtown.

LuckChap was founded by Margot Robbie, a famous Australian actor and producer in Hollywood. The company is well-known for producing the Hollywood movie Barbie.
