I’m gonna preface this by saying, I use a lot of slang and swear words to communicate but I am NOT hating on blackpink, any of the girls in the group, or the fandom. My disappointment is simply directed towards the management and production team.
I can’t believe after 4 years they had the audacity to release this. The least you could do was a full album but nah, 5 songs and 4 of them are horrible. Genuinely, what was the point of this?
I don’t hate or blame the girls, but I’m extremely disappointed and irritated with the management of this group and also the producer. Teddy. You should have retired a long time ago because all you been doing is cooking up some BS in that studio. All he does is play in people’s faces, yo. These should have stayed in the drafts, there’s nothing new or shocking about these songs. It just sounds like wannabe baddies struggling to rap without a blaccent. Bring back prime blackpink, to where they subtly convey they know they’re that girl, but also don’t shove it in our faces like they’re also trying to convince themselves. I was hoping they would come back strong after a 4 year hiatus and all the solos in between but nah son. It’s wraps.
Not to mention, choosing to work with Kesha’s abuser was definitely a choice. So not only are the songs garbage, the music video AI generated, and the girls unsynchronized, but we have a sex offender working on the music. Does YG WANT these girls to be cancelled? Because that’s definitely what it seems like. Now, if you liked the album or some of the songs, all power to you. We all have our opinions. But the songs come across as lazy, repetitive and low quality for a group that’s been around for 11-12 years and has so much experience in the industry.
