Lettuce Kimchi

I’m not going to use lettuce to substitute cabbage, but rather as a test for the paste. Like for flavour/ texture. Is this wise or really dumb? And is there anything I should be wary of?

So far, my ingredients are

  • Romaine lettuce
  • Crushed chili/ chilipowder
  • chili flakes
  • garlic
  • fish sauce
  • carrots and green onions
  • Rice flour
  • garlic, ginger, onion, etc.

I was wondering if I can use apples instead of asian pears, and if radish is necessary. And if the lettuce works out, that might be my broke kimchi substitute 😭😔

I’m also eyeballing the measurements lmao 🤧
