Why are so many people using the current HYBE drama to just send even more hate to idols who are under the label and why has this current “leak” created such a big outrage here. None of the idols have anything to do with what HYBE executives and workers do and no idols have publically supported any of the controversies that have happened at HYBE this year. Say what you want about the executives but I am seeing horrific posts on multiple social medias about idols, including reddit – death threats, slutshaming, mocking idols looks, r*ape threats, spreading sexually exploitative materials of idols from when they were minors, racist posts, all kinds of horrendous posts. Its incredibly obvious so many of the people commenting don’t actually give a shit about HYBE and just want an excuse to hate on idols while feeling like they are morally justified, and we see this time and time again.
On top of this kpop fans are massive hypocrites over this entire situation. Reports came out this summer that SM had paid $1 million dollars to a PR firm to spread negative posts about HYBE idols and in the Kakao stock manipulation court case it also came out that execuitives at Kakao had paid to spread hate posts about HYBE and HYBE idols online but nobody here cared, and nobody blamed any of the idols in SM or in Kakao Ent groups (and rightfully so, none of the idols did anything wrong) https://m.entertain.naver.com/article/312/0000672235 . What is so different about HYBE that there are so many more comments and so much more hate spread around about this situation?
