Kpop Demon Hunters is no longer just a hit — it’s a phenomenon. Netflix’s animated adventure, which fuses the sparkle of K-pop with high-octane fantasy action, has officially become the platform’s most-watched film of all time.
Netflix announced Tuesday on its Tudum website that the film has amassed 236 million views since its June 20 release, overtaking Red Notice (230.9 million) starring Dwayne Johnson and Ryan Reynolds, which had held the No. 1 spot since 2021.
Across both films and TV shows, KPop Demon Hunters now ranks third overall on Netflix’s all-time chart — behind global juggernauts Squid Game Season 1 (265.2 million) and Wednesday Season 1 (252.1 million).
The soundtrack is also rewriting music history. Lead single Golden reclaimed the No. 1 position on the Billboard Hot 100, while Your Idol (No. 4), Soda Pop (No. 5) and How It’s Done (No. 10) all entered the chart’s Top 10. It marks the first time in history that four songs from the same original soundtrack have landed simultaneously in the Hot 100’s Top 10.
And the story isn’t over yet. Netflix measures viewership over 91 days, which means the film still has about three weeks to go. Industry observers say KPop Demon Hunters could surpass both Squid Game and Wednesday to become the most-watched Netflix title ever across all categories.
