South Korean cosmetics were top picks among beauty products of Amazon Prime members during the global leading e-commerce platform’s largest annual sales event only for paid users last month.
The Advanced Snail Mucin 96% Power Repairing Essence by Cosrx Inc., a subsidiary of South Korean cosmetics giant Amorepacific Corp., ranked No. 1 in the beauty and personal care category during Amazon Prime Day 2024, according to Amazon Global Selling Korea, the Korean operation of Amazon’s business arranging individual sellers’ expansion into global markets, on Thursday.
The Bio-Collagen Real Deep Mask by a smaller South Korean cosmetics maker Biodance took the second place in the list, while the Lip Glowy Balm Berry and the Lip Sleeping Mask Berry by Laneige, a beauty brand of Amorepacific, ranked third and fourth, respectively.
Other South Korean cosmetics brands such as Innisfree, VT Co., Goodal, Tirtir, Anua, d’Alba, Beauty of Joseon and Kahi were among the top 100 list.
In the facial serum category, the Advanced Snail Mucin 96% Power Repairing Essence topped the list, while the VT Reedle Shot 100 Essence and the Cosrx Peptide Collagen Booster Toner Serum ranked No. 3 and No. 5. The Anua Niacinamide 10%+ TXA 4% took the seventh spot.

Amazon Prime Day is the US e-commerce behemoth’s annual deal event available only for over 200 million paid members. Online spending in the US rose 11% to a record $14.2 billion during Amazon Prime Day 2024 held on July 16-17 from a year earlier, according to Adobe Analytics.
Revenue of South Korean cosmetics sellers on Amazon.com more than doubled during the event year on year, Amazon Global Selling Korea said.
The average daily sales of Numbuzin, a skincare brand of the South Korean cosmetics maker Benow Inc., topped 30 times the average revenue in June.
VT’s daily average sales in Amazon in the US and Japan also topped 20 times the average revenue in June.
