I know not everyone is saying this and tbh im not that much into kpop spaces anymore than i am only when i go to watch girl group videos
And i wanna resonate with why i felt like talking about this…And as i woman who likes coquette style and sexy outfits,makeup,perfumes,its quite exhausting to hear that anything i do is for men…even when i dont wear bra at my work bc i find it very uncomfortable for the health reasons,i cringe when someone said that “i do it to attract older men at work” and i was like what??
Although there is nothing wrong if you wanna look pretty for a guy you like,its annoying to go to watch female idols with pretty outfits and others in the comments saying how “the company must forced them” or “im more into girl groups that dont dress sexy and for a male attention”
Also the famous misued misogynistic phrase “pick me” is thrown as a bad thing to female idols who appeal “feminine” and confident as if they exist for only male pleasure, like Wonyoung,Yuna,the girls that never did anything wrong
Im not gonna deny that there are cases where women and girls are forced to wear revealing clothes but lets not pretend thats always the case
The idea that women and girls,esp minor girls are doing it for legal adult males is gross and sending the idea that its our fault no matter what and that it was a little girl that seduced a grown man
