So most the the fan knows what happened with Miss A, if don’t basically JYPE used promote individual activities for all group members as well, Suzy was also one who hit big with her role in Architecture 101 movie leading to her fame and her getting more Brand Deals, More roles and more Media presence.
That’s basically caused stirs in group as her popularity overshadow the other members and group when promoting. Also caused rift between members on how JYPE paying more attention to a certain member. This causes their group disbandment eventually.
Now come to Twice, Here to avoid that situation JYPE basically blocked every solo thing. Any offer of Solo Brand Deals, Solo debut, Solo acting gig, Solo Variety host, Solo Social Media and so on were rejected by JYPE.
Twice used to follow basically same schedule. This was going on till 2022, when finally after resigning individual activities were allowed.
This causes two effects in Twice has one of the most strongest group bond in Kpop. They will stick with each other for lifetimes it seems like . They always think of group first before their individual ambition. They always seem to prioritise group activities.
On negative side is they got late start in every solo activities, That may be Brand Deals, Acting, Solo Debut, etc. By now they would have had lot on experience with these.
Second thing is, They kind of seems to be confuse about how much their individual activities should take priories over group. And sometimes feel guilty, like when Nayeon was first offer solo her first thought was “What about Group and What about members?”. There is no need for them feel this way.
