Is le sserafim really that much bigger in the US / West compared to aespa?

am i the only one who feels like aespa’s success in the US gets overlooked when people talk about LE SSERAFIM? i’ve seen a lot of fans, especially armys and fearnots, act like LSF are the undisputed biggest 4th gen gg in the West, but isn’t aespa actually pretty close to them at this point??

based on touring data, their recent tour reportedly had more total attendees than pureflow tour, and they’ve been outcharting them this year with Lemonade, which seems to have made more noise than pureflow the album even in the US. so I’m genuinely curious why the conversation still seems so one-sided sometimes.

i know aespa doesn’t have a hot100 entry, and i get that it’s an important achievement. but how much does label backing and US industry connections factor into this? hybe has a much bigger presence in the US, and LSF is under the same label as BTS, plus they’ve had collaborations involving KATSEYE and j-hope which give them certain advantages when it comes to US exposure. also, which non-HYBE 4th-gen girl groups, aside from fifty fifty, have actually made it onto the Hot 100? I’m not trying to discredit LSF’s achievements, but I’m curious how much of the gap people perceive between the two groups is actually reflected in their performance versus how much comes down to exposure and industry connections.

am I missing something here?
