Is K-pop these days overly dependent on certain big-name groups?

In light of BTS members completing their military service and preparing for future group activities, as well as Blackpink’s upcoming comeback and world tour, there is often the impression that this could help to reverse the slump in the K-pop industry as seen from what happened in 2024. Just like to know, is K-pop that overly reliant on these acts, or would it continue to decline further despite their presence? This is coming from someone who has felt that today’s K-pop is entirely different from that in the past and has long turned away from mainstream K-pop and switched to other alternatives.
