[Disclaimer: the groups I’m about to list are purely for my opinions only. Please don’t give any hate to them or to me, because we’re all human at the end of the day…]
1) Current Underrated K-Pop Artists that I want to have for the upcoming potential season, because I was kind of glad that “Season 1” didn’t go for the Big 4 route, but I hope it’s not too late:
- Boy groups = AMPERS&ONE(OT7), P1Harmony(OT6), ZB1(OT9), xikers(OT10), NOMAD(OT5), CRAVITY(OT9), EPEX(OT8), CIX, XLOV, 8TURN(OT8), &TEAM (OT9)
- (With NOMAD, I mostly stanned this group, because member Junho was one of my picks during “The Origin: A, B or What”. But then again, all-adult groups should really get more popular around here…) + (With EPEX, I truly hope that Keum Donghyun recovers well and returns back to the group, 😭🥺😭)
- Girl groups = ICHILLIN’ (OT7) + CSR(OT7)
- (With ICHILLIN, I really hope they get the “BILLLIE clout treatment” soon, since Jeong Jiyoon and Kim Suyeon both appeared in “Girls Planet 999”. In fact, I think Megan Thee Stallion would mesh really well with them too, mostly because I like their song “Siren” so much…) + (With CSR, I know they’ve already got their 1st win, but I also want them to get popular again…)
- Co-Ed groups = ALLDAY PROJECT + KARD(they most definitely deserve it!!!)
Big 4 group candidates, like ITZY:
- Girl groups = Hearts2Hearts(OT8)
- Boy groups = Seventeen, TXT, ENHYPEN, STRAY KIDS(OT8), NCT DREAM(OT7)
Other Groups I wish I could add, but I don’t have enough emotional strength to do so; (I don’t intend to give any of them disrespect at all):
- Boy groups = SF9, BAE173, OMEGA X, “ALL(H)OURS”, ONEPACT, DKZ, TNX, ONEUS, YOUNITE, TEMPEST, JUST B(OT6)
- Girl groups = EVERGLOW + tripleS + “Baby DONT Cry”(because although I like their song “F Girl”, they’re still pretty young…)
Honourable Mentions:
- Boy groups = DKB(OT9), OnlyOneOf(OT7), Golden Child(OT10), TBZ(0T11/OT12), PENTAGON(OT9), ONF, WHIB(OT8), X1, UP10TION, VICTION, DRIPPIN(OT7), VERIVERY(OT7), LUN8, ASTRO
- Girl groups = Weki Meki(OT8), Purple Kiss(OT7), MAMAMOO, Cherry Bullet, OH MY GIRL(OT7), Lovelyz(OT8)
There were some other names that I had in mind for this show, but I’m kind of advocating for the underrated groups to get their time to shine; I know it’s unrealistic, but a fighting dreamer can only try…
