So I’ve only been able to have tteokbokki from the store packaged like this, but now they stopped selling these and I only have access to local Asian store with fresh frozen tteokbokki, an the only sauce that’s sold is in a jar that’s just labeled as “tteokbokki sauce”…. And it’s not good. It’s a little spicy but just not good. I really want to make one similar to the packaged one I have pictured, but 97% of sauce recipes online are for HOT SPICY sauces and I don’t really want that. I tried buyin sweet chilli sauces and mix in it in and it does NOT taste the same! It’s like the one you dip egg rolls in lol.
