Hey everyone! I have some friends over in a few days and some of them intend on drinking so i’m thinking of having a like, anju-style dinner? Some dishes I was thinking of: Buldak (maybe without cheese, TBD) Myeolchi bokkeum or braised myeolchi Pa-jeon or kimchi-jeon Maybe braised soybeans (but I dont have black soybeans) Cut up pickled radish Some stuff I was thinking of pairing with even though not korean: Zhacai (chinese style pickled mustard stem, was thinking of giving it a quick stir fry or serving as is, common beer snack) Fusion bibim guksu (I feel like sesame paste would be good in this but I dont tend to see sesame paste in korean cooking) I dont think it would really fit the anju theme too well but I was thinking of some braised dish, maybe a like beef braise like jangjorim. As for ingredients, I have access to a lot of spices and sauces and pastes, but the main things I like access to are korean specific fresh meat and veggies (i live in a rural American area). So flavorings and Condiments usually aren’t the issue.
