How likely is it that South Korea will allow dual citizenship in the future?

I was born in a country where renouncing one’s nationality is almost legally and practically impossible due to their laws and norms. I know that South Korea does not recognize dual citizenship but I was wondering if there cases where exceptions can be made on the renunciation of foreign nationality before acquiring Korean nationality. It is an aspiration of mine to eventually naturalize in Korea and I don’t think I can do so without overcoming this legal barrier.

I’m aware that many Koreans who have immigrated abroad in past have been forced to renounce Korean nationality or make a choice between their country of residence and Korea due to military service obligations. I am curious as to whether this topic is ever raised or spoken about?
