Jungkook is receiving a ridiculous amount of hate simply for hanging out with his own bandmate. I know all shippers can get out of hand sometimes, but this is honestly a new low.
I remember when they filmed Are You Sure?!, a lot of people who supposedly liked Jungkook actually boycotted it. Then, when he decided to enlist through the buddy system with his bandmate, many shippers and supposed “fans” started tagging the Korean military, demanding they stop him from doing “fan service.”
And now, with new content being filmed after their discharge, he’s once again getting flooded with hate comments and even threats to send protest trucks — all from these same people.
{And actually, the people threatening to send trucks, flooding him with hateful comments, and tagging the Korean military accusing him of doing fan service and boycotting his show are mainly Jungkook solo fans. They didn’t react like this when he was spending time with Mingyu or other members — their dramatic overreaction now makes it painfully clear that a lot of his solo fandom are actually Taekook shippers. It’s honestly heartbreaking, because Jungkook deserves so much better than to be policed and attacked by his own fans over the smallest things. I hope these so-called fans and shippers realize how toxic they’re being, because tormenting him and trying to control him like this is beyond cruel.}
Isn’t this going way too far? How can shipping lead people to torment the very idol they claim to support? Jimin literally calls Jungkook his brother all the time — why do these shippers immediately jump to assuming they’re romantically involved over the stupidest things?
